We announce the death of Jerry W. Poindexter of Miller, South Dakota, who passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 75. Jerry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, H. A. Poindexter and Doris Poindexter (Moody); his brother Hal; his in-laws, Jack and Georgia Cook; his brother Terry; and his siblings-in-law, Tess Cook and Mike Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his son Pete (Dawne Pilipick); his grandchildren, Sara and Ryan of Sioux Falls; his son Andy (Rachael Cihak); his grandchildren, Meghan (Trenten), Emily, Isabelle, Dashal, Ellison and Jameson of Miller; his son Matt of Sioux Falls; his brother Don (Karen); and his sisters-in-law, Marian Poindexter and Shirley Cook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
