With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roberta Eschenbaum of Miller, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Johnson and Kathryn Johnson (Waring); her husband Duane Eschenbaum; her grandson Calder Eschenbaum; her sister Della Moncur (Ray); and her son-in-law Mike Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Duana Eschenbaum of Miller, Shirley Cook of Ree Heights, Harrison Eschenbaum of Miller and Jeff Eschenbaum (Jody) of Lake Preston; and her grandchildren, Vance Cook (Rikki), Jennifer McIntosh (Nate), Jessica Naderi (Greg), Sterling Eschenbaum (Courtney), Ty Eschenbaum and Stetson Eschenbaum (Maesa). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reck Funeral Home (313 E 1st Ave, Miller, SD 57362). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (707 E 1st Ave, Miller, SD 57362). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the G. A. R. Cemetery.
