He was predeceased by : his parents, Gottlieb Haux and Ida Haux (Heupel); and his siblings, Virginia Hunt, Violet Maier, Caroline Kronberg, Harold Haux, Eldon Haux and Jim Haux.

He is survived by : his wife Marie Eldeen; his children, Stacy Peterson (Richard) of Aberdeen, Shane Haux (Barb) of Baltic, Shawn Frericks of Aberdeen and Amy Jo Anderson of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Jenna Peterson, Elliot Haux, Eli Haux, Bailey Frericks, Caiden Frericks (Deja Phillips), Dylan Bader (Faith), Dawson Anderson and Dray Anderson; his great grandchildren, Liam Frericks, Raelynn Fuhrer, Orlagene Frericks and Freya Bader; and his siblings, Norma Rohrbach of Yakima, WA, Nancy Belden of Deer Park, WA, Jeanette Yost (Darrell) of Aberdeen, Linda Fogel (Dennis) of Aberdeen, Gladys McOwen (Bill) of Phoenix, AZ. and Robert Haux (Glennis) of Laurinberg, NC..

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Life Fellowship - Aberdeen (619 8th Ave NW, Aberdeen, SD 57401). A prayer was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
