She was predeceased by: her parents, August Chaon and Tina Chaon (Bouchie); her husband Clifford Torberson; her children, Leonard, Brian and Suzanne (Larry King); her siblings, Fenton, Glenn, Leslie Chaon (Hap) and Eunice Torberson; and her great grandchild Lane Torberson.
She is survived by: her son Carroll (Joyce) of Mitchell; and her daughters-in-law, Alberta Torberson (Luis Estrada) of Texas and Jeanne Stonefield (Richard) of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (600 S Edmunds St, Mitchell, SD 57301). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (100 E 3rd St, Canton, SD 57013). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
