He was predeceased by : his parents, Bernie Oster and Iris Oster (Goldammer); and his grandparents, William, Mary Oster, John and Mattie Goldammer.

He is survived by : his sons, Kohl Oster (Jessica) of Mitchell and Cody Oster (Kaitlyn) of Hermosa; and his sister Sandra Young (Bob) of Mitchell. He is also survived by his grandbabies, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bittner Funeral Chapel (805 W Havens Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
