Faye Howell Obituary
We announce the death of Faye Howell of Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on November 1, 2026, at the age of 96. Faye will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Tomlinson and Elsie Tomlinson (Hostetter); her children, Teri and John Howell; her grandson TJ Howell; and her siblings, Leola Ring (Olen), Elsie Fern Plumlee (Jess), William Tomlinson (Wilmath), Emily Shay (Pat) and Leroy Tomlinson.
She is survived by: her son Thomas S. Howell (Jolene) of Lincoln, NE; her daughter-in-law Debra of Lincoln, NE; her daughters, Teresa F. LoBello (Lou) of Menomonie, WI and Kimberly M. Haiar (Jim) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Rochelle King (Curtis), Stephanie Haschke (Joe), Daniel LoBello (Jess), John Howell, Eric Haiar (Kate), AJ Howell (Michelle) and Dan Haiar (Maddie); her great grandchildren, Lucy, Matilda, Francis, Peter, Leonie Faye, Joey Haschke, Vinnie Duran, Tommie Howell, Leah, Lydia, Aaron, Joshua Howell, Dominic, Alonna LoBello, Morgan, Michael Haiar, Avery and Emery Haiar; and her sister-in-law Jackie Tomlinson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and other extended relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church (728 S Minnesota St, Mitchell, SD 57301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorial gifts be directed to Centerville Care and Rehab for the purchase of a much-needed wheelchair-capable van/bus.
