She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwin Sly and Norma Sly (Moody); her sisters, Carol Uerborn (Joseph) and Dayle Nelson (Jon); and her in-law Bernard Schmit (Ruth).
She is survived by: her husband Leonard Schmit; her pets, Henry and Butterscotch; her cousins, Doug Sly (Linda) and Judy Wynia; and her siblings-in-law, Nila Schmit, Rose Gates (Ron), Bonnie Artz (Scott) and Mike Schmit (Lori). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; as well as many dear friends.
