Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gerald leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Johnson and Calla Johnson (Huska); and his wife Diane Gossar. He is survived by: his stepson Michael Hauge (Whitney) of Dallas, Texas; his grandson Gabe Hauge of Massachusetts; and his close friends, Troy and Karla Kokesh of Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future designation to the Mitchell Girls Basketball Program and First Presbyterian Church.
