Henrietta Star Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henrietta Star of Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Henrietta Star to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harm Dyk and Nancy Dyk (Dykstra); her husband Donald J. Star; and her siblings, Dick Dyk and Clair Dyk.
She is survived by: her children, Harlan (Joyce) of Mitchell, Dale (Lisa) of Mitchell, Nancy Gage (Steve) of Sioux Falls and Ione Stien (Larry) of Colorado Springs, CO; and her siblings, Harriet Namminga of Tyndall, SD, Gerald Dyk of Platte, SD, Billie Childress of West Chicago, IL and Carolyn Hofmen of Brookfield, WI. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Prayer Service Bittner Funeral Chapel (805 W Havens Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A prayer will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
