She was predeceased by: her father-in-law Bruce DeJong Sr.; and her grandparents, Marvin, Lucille Hettinger, Albert Spaans, Arie and Hermina VanVeldhuizen.
She is survived by: her father Harlan Spaans; her husband Bruce James DeJong Jr.; her children, Taylor Marie, Kira Elizabeth and Jordan Kaye; her siblings, Jay Spaans (Angela) of Armour, Josh Spaans (Jodi) of Armour and Jenny Plooster (Mike) of Corsica; her mother Sue Spaans of Corsica; her mother-in-law Colleen DeJong of Mitchell; and her siblings-in-law, Kelly DeJong (Tabitha) of Mitchell and Grace Overweg (Leon) of Mitchell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
