He was predeceased by: his son Joseph; his parents, George Sebert and Maria Sebert (Kosters); his siblings, Leo (Judy), Albert, Art (Melcina), Leonard (Ramona), George (Charlotte) and Dorothy Berreth (Richard); his father-in-law Hank Spindler (Cecelia); and his sister-in-law Anna Mae Frost.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Spindler; his children, Laurie Hamar (Jay) of Custer, SD, Bob Sebert (Julie) of Mitchell, SD, Bill Sebert (Jane) of Mitchell, SD, Jeanne Mann (Derek) of Rapid City, SD, Jennifer Glovich of Sioux Falls, SD and Jim Sebert (Kim) of Mitchell, SD.; his grandchildren, Ty Hamar (Lexi), Corey Ditter (Catie Brown), Megan, Hannah, Sarah Sebert, Taylor Koerner (Austin), Maggie, Katy Sebert, Dalton, Ethan Mann, Leah, Jacob (Natalie), Andrew Glovich, Kobi Lutjens and Joe Sebert; and his great grandchild Owen Koerner.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prayer Service Holy Spirit Catholic Church (1401 W Cedar Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A prayer will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (1401 W Cedar Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
