He is survived by: his mother Noreen Nickelson of Highmore; his children, Shawn Marie (Lance) of Sioux Falls and John Richard; his wife Alice Nickelson (Lemke); his son Travis Olson (Lori) of Madison; his siblings, Larry (Bonnie) of Highmore, Dennis of Rapid City, Kay Kerney Rochelle (Rick) of Spearfish, Brenda Carrillo (Billy) of Spearfish and Lemke; his brothers-in-law, Maurice (Sandy) of Dupree, John D. (Judy) of Lantry, Jim (Charlanne) of Brodus, MT and Clayton (Kristi) of New Underwood; his grandchildren, Amanda Fincher (Chad) of Sioux Falls, Austin Koester (Kori Hansen) of Sioux Falls, Samantha King (Drake Neill) of Fort Collins, CO, Rachel, Myles and Tyler Olson of Madison; his stepgrandchildren, Sarah Thorson (Corey) of Sioux Falls and Lucas King of Vermillion; and his great grandchildren, Addison, Brody Fincher, Chase and Corrah Thorson.
