It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Renee Mehlhaf of Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Blachnik and Viola Blachnik (Blaha); her brother Duane Blachnik; her parents-in-law, Victor Mehlhaf, Viola Mehlhaf and Arlene Mehlhaf; her brothers-in-law, Roger Vaness and Michael Diede; and her nephew Drake Mehlhaf.
She is survived by: her husband Loren Mehlhaf; her daughters, Kelli Danielson (Kirk), Jillian Wolbrink (Jeffrey) and Haley Ponader (Christopher); her grandchildren, Drake, Maci Wolbrink, Leonard, Bowie Danielson, Cassady and Addison Ponader; and her sister Diana Vaness. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prayer Service Bittner Funeral Chapel (805 W Havens Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A prayer was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Bittner Funeral Chapel (805 W Havens Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Reformed Church (1021 S Davison St, Mitchell, SD 57301).
