He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Ackman and Shirley Ackman (Struckman); his granddaughter Ashley Ackman; his brothers, Scott and Robin; and his sister-in-law Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Mary McKillop; his children, Jeremy (Nikole), Jerid (Kristy), Randa Bickett (Aaron) and Paul; and his sisters, Roxie and Debbie. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
