He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Simon and Bernard Simon. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Denief (Vince), Lynn Lawton (Rick) and Angie Wallen (Kevin); his grandchildren, Trenton Denief (Hannah), Taylor Denief, Tate Denief, Johnathon Lawton, Ryan Lawton and Jackson Wallen; and his siblings, Patti Gisi, Don Simon, Tom Simon (Linda), Deb DeRouchey (Dan), Dan Simon, Laurie Rogstad (Fritz) and Julie Schroeder (Jeff).
