She was predeceased by : her parents, James Pesicka and Eva Mae Pesicka (Miley); her former life partner Frank Wesley Simpson; and her daughter Marcia Bolte. She is survived by : her sister Joan LeDoux; her daughter Cathy; her husband Vern Creasey; and her daughters, Linda Johnson of Mitchell, SD, Deborah Brawley (Gary) of Erie, CO, Catherine Williams of Rapid City, SD and Sheri Simpson (Mike) of Frederick, CO..

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bittner Funeral Chapel (805 W Havens Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (310 N Rowley St, Mitchell, SD 57301). Ruth lost her daughter, Marcia Bolte, to Covid in 2020.
