He is survived by: his wife Rita Agnitsch; his children, Tara Gates of Kansas City, MO, Jason Gates of Las Vegas, NV and Josh Gates of Sioux Falls; and his siblings, David Gates of Rapid City, Rita Conklin of Des Moines, IA and Diane Gates of Rapid City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
