She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam C Mertz and Rose Mertz (Aipperspach); her husband Vernard Schneider; her siblings, Roland, Quintine, Allen Mertz, Ellina Barth, Elanor Gab, Phyllis Geisler and Lois Banta; her parents-in-law, William Schneider and Emma Schneider; her brothers-in-law, Walter Barth and Johnny Gab; and her brothers, Raymond Schneider (Ernestine), Erwin Schneider (Lydia), Merle (Hilda Wahl), Elmer (Meta Lang) and Leland (Wella Berndt).
She is survived by: her son Steve (Theresa Schneider) of Mobridge; her grandchildren, Scott Schneider (Mandy) of Sioux Falls, Steve Schneider (Nicole) of Mobridge, Lisa Mathues (Cody) of Parkers Prairie, MN and Amanda Tesch (Jake) of Watertown, SD.; her brother Don Mertz (Marge) of Mobridge; her siblings-in-law, Lynn Mertz, Jane Mertz of Mobridge and Delbert Shneider (Joan) of Garland, TX.; her siblings, Adam Mertz (Lou) of Lester Prairie, MN and Marge Hillwell of Raymond, MN.; and her great grandchildren, Anna, Corey, Caden, Bethany, Payton, Will, Livia, Zack, Carter, Zoey and Dylan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Kesling Funeral Home (1201 W Grand Crossing, Mobridge, SD 57601). A prayer will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (620 9th St W, Mobridge, SD 57601). A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
