James Zimmer Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Zimmer of Montrose, South Dakota, who passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo Zimmer and Genevieve Zimmer (Kuborn); his brother Rick; and his brothers-in-law, Willis Gerth, Tom and Bob Jacobsen.

He is survived by : his wife Cathy of Montrose; his sons, Greg and Jeff; his stepdaughter Amy Servold (Chris); his grandchildren, Saydie, Elizabeth and Alex; his great grandchild Rylan; his siblings, Sharon O'Connell (Doug), Kathy Gerth, Mark Zimmer (Carmen), Rozanne Binkerd (Rory) and Lory Hallem (Cliff); and his siblings-in-law, Linda Zimmer, David Jacobsen, Ron Jacobsen (Deb), Cindy Benson (Steve) and Pam Jacobsen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
