With sadness, we share the passing of Mary Ideker of Montrose, South Dakota. Mary, born on June 19, 1945, passed away on September 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jesse and Wilhelmina Jesse (Wingert); her son Jay Fitzgerald; her siblings, Lorraine Mammenga (Luverne), Jerry, Vincent and Virgil Jesse; her sisters-in-law, Alice, Judy and Patty Jesse; and her parents-in-law, Leonard and Blanche Ideker.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry of Montrose; her son Troy Ideker (Roxanne) of Crystal River, FL; her grandchildren, Ashley Witt, Jessica Braatz, Tim Beer, Selene Ideker and Tanden Ideker; her siblings, Carole Raap (LaVerne) of Montrose, Steve Jesse of Sioux Falls, Bill Jesse of Humboldt, Raymond Jesse of Montrose and David Jesse (Carla) of Sioux Falls; and her siblings-in-law, Peggy Jesse, Rick Ideker (Kay) and Bernard Ideker (Connie). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (211 Church Ave, Montrose, SD 57048). A prayer was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
