The memory of Rose F. Peterson of Montrose, South Dakota, who passed away on October 11, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Hanisch and Alvina Hanisch (Kobberman); her husband Hobart "Pete" Peterson; her siblings, LaVonne, Barbara, Clementine, Donna and William Goerge; and her nieces, Cindy, Christy, Dawn and Becky.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Peterson (Deborah) and Debra Carlson (Tim); her grandchildren, Jeff Peterson, Jessica Howe (Ryan), Jeremy Carlson (Alison), Stacy Ahlquist, Lacey Larson and Brittney Larson; and her siblings, Josephine Herrboldt (Dale), Eugene (Janet), LaMar (Karen), Sylvester (Shirley) and Loyd (Becky).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (211 Church Ave, Montrose, SD 57048). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
