She was predeceased by: her parents, Minert DeVoe and Pauline DeVoe (Dutton); her daughter Joan; her grandchildren, Harmon and Sarah Kanable; her siblings, Walter, Raymond and Margie; and her parents-in-law, Jesse, Florence Kanable, Jake Zingler, Lois Kanable and John Asen.
She is survived by: her husband Jim (Jim); her children, Jim (Kim) of Ipswich, SD, Jan Van Beek (John) of Webster, SD, Jackie Rau (Mark) of Leola, SD, Joni Eberhart (Nathan) of Clear Lake, SD and Joel (Sarah) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Adam, Kari Kanable, John Van Beek (Jessica), Kaitlyn Weber (Lance), Jenna Van Beek, Jordan Kanable, Ethan, Caleb, Aidan and Elizabeth Kanable; her great grandchildren, Jace, Callen and Brielle Weber; her brothers, James (Luella) and Donald DeVoe (Louise); and her siblings-in-law, Kathy DeVoe, Sharon DeVoe, Judy Asen and Jerry Kanable. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (106 2nd Ave, Herreid, SD 57632). A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
