He was predeceased by: his father Maynard Helgeland; his grandparents, Vince and Maude Pollard; and his mother Millie Gritzmacher (Lester "Dutch" Gritzmacher). He is survived by: his siblings, Lori Renken (Dave) of Mt. Vernon and Steve Helgeland (Wanda) of Yankton, SD; his aunt Roberta Olsen of Mt. Vernon; and his uncle Robert Pollard of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
