It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David W. Brost of Murdo, South Dakota, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though David has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Brost (Denise) of Madison, WI, Michelle Brost of Charlotte, NC and Del Brost (Christy) of Murdo, SD; his siblings, Faye Bartlett (Merle), Ellen Nix (Paul) and Bob Brost (Suzanne); and his grandchildren, Taylor Collins (Casey), Jamie Soper (Nick), Alex Brost (Brittany), Dillon Brost, Kade Brost (Abby) and Hannah Brost. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Murdo United Methodist Church (202 Jefferson Ave, Murdo, SD 57559). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
