“I am so sorry to see that Gary has passed away. He was a friend and quite a character. He made coaching track something the coaches, the kids, and I really enjoyed. He was a competitor. I once saw him bite a ball point pen in half coaching a Junior High bb game. He just wiped the ink off his lips and kept coaching. His gentle way and encouragement helped many JCHS students be successful in their high school careers and later in their life journey. My HC floats never beat his floats. Steve”
