He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick VanZuidam and Margaret VanZuidam (Bok); his son Bryan; his sisters, Maria Laffey and Wilma Vanden Hoek (Bill); and his siblings-in-law, Delores Vanden Hoek (Don), MaryLou Bruinsma and Joseph Dykstra.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Bruinsma; his children, Darla VanZuidam of Carlisle, Laura Antonsen (Terry) of Geddes, SD and Rich VanZuidam (Nicole) of New Holland, SD; his grandchildren, Sage DeHaai (Aaron), Sydney Gerlach (Dalton), Nadia, Ahnali and Aidrik VanZuidam; his great grandchild Rori DeHaai; and his siblings-in-law, Lennis Laffey, LeRoy Bruinsma and Vonnie Dykstra.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Holland Christian Reformed Church (100 Church Ave, New Holland, SD 57364). A prayer will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family requests that gifts and memorials be directed to the New Holland CRC Or Dakota Christian School.
