He was predeceased by: his son Chesney; his grandfather Stanley Palmer; and his son Brendan Hoffman. He is survived by: his parents, Tony Hoffman and Sharry Hoffman (Palmer); his wife Joni Boekelheide; his brother AJ Hoffman (Susan); his sister-in-law Kelli Boekelheide; his parents-in-law, Sharon Boekelheide and Tom Boekelheide; his grandparents, Marvin, Marion Hoffman and Viola Bueber; and his pets, Roper, Roxy, Ralph, Dwight, Radar and Moon.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
