It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Stier of Onida, South Dakota, who passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Clifford Dean Stier; his brother Bradley Stier; and his grandparents, Anna Stier, Sara and Odin Mithun.
He is survived by: his mother Barbara Stier-Aal (Mithun) of Chokio, MN.; his wife Mary Jo; his children, Michael Stier (Courtney) and Katherine Stier (Connor); and his siblings, Mark (Lynn), Matthew (Melanie), Patrick (Alli) and Lisa (Dustin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 500 S 8th St, Onida, SD 57564. A prayer will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
