He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Aesoph and Ruby Aesoph (Chambers); his children, Kelly, Wanelda "Little Nel" and Jason; and his brother Terry.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Jesse, Shelly Oakley (Aesoph), Jon Aesoph, Jordan, Nicole Aesoph (Bruemmer), Kyle and Krissy Oakley (Aesoph); his grandchildren, Isaac, Elias, Will Oakley, Lucas, Renna, Sadie, Jhett Aesoph, Lannie, Rozzi, Harlee and Chancey Oakley; and his siblings, Bev Grau (Aesoph), Bill, Marilynn Van Well (Aesoph), John, Gloria Biegler (Aesoph), Mark and Deb Gonyo (Aesoph). He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces; and nephews.
A wake was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (407 Summer St, Orient, SD 57467). Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
