As Tyler departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Tyler may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Tyler leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his mother Jacqueline Birney (Roberts). He is survived by: his father Rex Birney of Ortley, SD; his siblings, Jamie Birney (Sarah) of Fargo, ND and Danielle Hinkelman (Cody) of Watertown; and his nephews, Lindsey, Blu, Layne, Mason and Essence. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ortley Free Lutheran Church (218 Pine St N, Ortley, SD 57256). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Waubay School.
