He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Herman Matthies and Emma Matthies (Jastram); his brother Ronald; his brothers-in-law, Art Doppenberg and Denny Tate (Clarice Wixon); his children, Kristie and Ronnie; his sisters, Leona Doppenberg and Doris Tate; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Matthies. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
