It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paula Chicoine of Parker, South Dakota, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Eugene Rasmussen and Josephine Rasmussen (Becker); her brothers, Gene Rasmussen, Victor Rasmussen, Phillip Rasmussen, Perry Rasmussen and Gary; and her sister-in-law Sandy Chicoine.
She is survived by : her husband John Chicoine; her children, Amy Chicoine (Jim Wilde), Brian Chicoine (Lindsay) and Annie Welsh (Ryan); her grandchildren, Jake Anderson (Amanda), Zack Anderson, Lucy Anderson, Xander, Dax, Croix Chicoine, Brinlee, Emmett and Graham Welsh; her siblings, Marc Rasmussen (Sherry), Neil Rasmussen (Vicki), Tony Rasmussen, Martin Rasmussen (Christy), Keith Rasmussen (Ruby), Deanna Lacotta (Bernie) and Lorna Ziller (Ron); and her sisters-in-law, Pam Rasmussen, Janice Rasmussen and Judy Oberg (David). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the South Dakota Alzheimer's Association, the Bishop Dudley House, and the Union Gospel Mission.
