We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2023, Rich Smith of Philip, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Roy and Roxey Smith (Berry); his wife Gladys Smith; his grandchildren, Christopher Lurz, Audra Smith and Trena Buchholz; and his siblings, Betty Montgomery, Mary Eide, Everett (Bus), Alfred (Bill), Lee, Wesley (Bob), Maxwell and Kenneth.

He is survived by : his children, Colleen Simmons (Ken) of Forsyth, MT, Larry Smith (Linda) of Philip, SD, Melvin Smith (Beth) of Philip, SD, Steven Smith (Roxie) of Ordway, CO, Arlan Smith of Casper, WY, Barbara Coy (Mike) of Sheridan, WY, Janet Lurz (Kenneth) of Wall, SD and Kieth Smith (Deb) of Philip, SD. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
