He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Pfeifer and Marie Pfeifer (Hanson); his siblings, Melvin, Larry, George, Leo, Robert "Barney" Pfeifer, Ella Mae Ketchum and Elaine Williams; his nephew Delbert Pfeifer; and his nieces, Delia Harty and Krystal Pfeifer.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Dineen; his son Steven Pfeifer (Mary); his grandson Miles of Fairfield; his son Doug Pfeifer (Katie); his grandchildren, Maddie, Elliot of Minneapolis and Holly Votruba (Garret); his great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Zach of Severance; his grandchild Audra Lynn Heinman (Johnny); his great grandchildren, Tiffany, Heather and Stephanie of Springfield, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Donna Pfeifer of St. Maries, Idaho. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
