With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Heltzel of Philip, South Dakota, born in Pierre, South Dakota, who passed away on May 6, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Mable Patton (Grotta) and Patrick Patton; her husband Jim; her son Pat; her grandson Mark Pederson; her siblings, Irene Stoeser, Kathy Pfeifle, John, Bill and Robert; her siblings-in-law, Kenneth, LeRoy, Gene Heltzel, Alex Stoeser, Ralph Fonseca, Marty, Lois and Dottie Patton; her daughter-in-law Carol Heltzel; and her nieces and nephews, Mike Stoeser, Steve, Allen Pfeifle, Laurie Dalton and Linda Stoeser.
She is survived by : her children, John of Philip, Marie Pederson (Butch) of Black Hawk, Donald (Sue) of Burleson, Carol Torrey (Matt) of Rapid City, Beth Davidson (Dan) of Boise, Wendy Heltzel of Rockport, David (Rona) of York, Tom (LeAnn) and Kate Heltzel (Bennie) of Lincoln, Nebraska; her sister Patty Fonseca; and her sisters-in-law, Maggie Lou and Dorothy Heltzel. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
