He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Witte and Alice Witte (Jung). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Veit (Sue); his daughter Kathryn Witte Wiedrich (Kate); his grandchildren, Cheyenne (Hannah) and Frank; and his siblings, Sherry Witte, Roxie Hanson (Craig), Lynn Hayward, Leann Hintz (Vern) and Roger Witte (Samantha). He is also survived by aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Feigum Funeral Home (808 W Pleasant Dr, Pierre, SD 57501). The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
A memorial fund in Curtis's name has been established at First Dakota National Bank located at 322 S Coteau St, Pierre, SD 57501.
