He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Adaire and Catherine Lou McElhiney Abbott; his brother Larry Abbott; his brothers-in-law, Robert McMillin and Tom Mackey; his sibling's children, Sandy Keifer and Eddie Hayes; and his great-niece Skye McMillin.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; and his siblings, Carol Hayes, Kathy Pieken, Linda McMillin, Nancy Mackey, Ruth Eaton (Terry), Jim Abbott (Bonnie) and Gary Abbott (Janie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great friends.
