He is survived by: his children, Dean DeGooyer, Cheryl Krier (Joe), Gary DeGooyer (Sue) and Karen McSherry (Randy); his grandchildren, David Hisel, Samantha Krier, Don DeGooyer, Sarah DeGooyer and Morgan McSherry; and his great grandchildren, Tanya Hisel, Teya Hisel and Sloane Waldron.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Isburg Funeral Chapel (439 S Pierre St, Pierre, SD 57501). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Highmore Cemetery.
