He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingvald Ekle and Esther Ekle (Petersen); and his sisters, Elvera Heinzman and Arlene Heinzman. He is survived by: his wife Betty Oldenkamp; and his children, Lisa Wilcox (Kevin) of Brookings, Brian Ekle (Amanda) of Sioux Falls, Jeff Ekle (Kara) of Pierre and Jonathan Ekle of Pierre. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
