We are sad to announce that on April 22, 2023, Shirley Ann Helgesen of Pierre, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Al Helgesen; her father Walter (Doris Pruess); her siblings, Donny (LeAnn Pruess), Merce Pruess and Alice; and her brother-in-law Ted Englund.

She is survived by : her daughters, Annette Sherrill (Todd) of Lake Elmo, Minnesota and Tammy Cruse (Brad) of Pierre; her grandsons, Aaron, Ryan, Raury and Cole; her daughters-in-law, Morgan and Kadence; her sister Betty; her brother-in-law Dale Misterek; and also Libby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Brighton Hospice, or a hospice care agency or charity of your choice.
