He was predeceased by: his son Keith Onken; his grandson Tanner Big Eagle; his parents, Henry Onken and Effie Onken; and his siblings, Dorothy Onken, Phyllis Kappel, Helen Alexander (Jack), Lunetta Parks, Donna Gregg (Nick) and John Onken.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Winckler (Cecil), Ken Onken (Vicky), Kasey Onken (Caron), John Onken, Codi Kinsman (Jason) and Tonya Onken; and his sister Joyce Newton of Snohomish, WA. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
