He is survived by: his children, Harley "Mister" Cortier, Melissa Blacksmith (Jodean), DJ "Smoke" Cortier (Delmarie Brewer) and Tyger Cortier; his grandchildren, Harmony "Charms", Steven "Stevie", Carson Cortier and Waylinn Britt-Cortier; his siblings, Marie Pretty Boy, Marylin Pretty Boy, Louise Frogg, Wayne Cortier, Adrian Cortier, Carl Cortier, Tracy Cortier and Amber Cortier; his aunts, Harriet "Babe" White Face, Blossom Johnson, Nelly Lakota, Serena, Charity Pretty Boy and Selma Johnson; his grandchildren, Hayden Walking, Anthony, Brewer and Rylan Whirlwind; his pet Riley Walking; his nephews, Junebug "Cuz" Walking, Samson "Bait" Walking, Jordan Cortier, Louie and Norman Wilson; his pets, Nellie Oldson, Vanessa, Ashton Siquieros, Carol Lakota, Ken Carpio and Danielle Carpio; his nieces, Miranda, Jolene, Deb, Charity, Lisa (Derek "Slim" Shoulders), Susan, Bessie (Frank Waters), Katie Returns From Scout (Joe Brewer), Ola Featherman (Donnie Mesteth), Iris Between Lodges, Charly "Gunville" Long Soldier, Donroy Shoulders (Gerald Cottier) and Anna White Bull; and his pet Bad Hand (family: Kenny Stands, Lloyd "Spider", Amos, Dave Brushbreaker, Darvis Weston, Sammy Foote, Rueben Smallwood, Jon Sounding Side, Lawrence "Red", Tony Herman).
A wake will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM and on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the #4 Payabaya Community Building (4 Community-U. S. HWY 18, Pine Ridge, SD 57770). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
