He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron, Sr. Whalen and Gladys Whalen (Campbell); his grandparents, Richard "Dick" Whalen, Emma Whalen (Henry), Louis Campbell and Mary Campbell (Brien); and his nephews, Jeff Whalen, Jr., Pallbearers, Jesse J. Whalen, Monte Whalen, Louis Harley Whalen, Louis Bettelyoun, Jack Whalen, Anthony Whalen, Tyson Whalen and Serine Whalen.
He is survived by: his children, Nicole Whalen, Terilynn Hernandez, Jesse J. Whalen, Louis Bettelyoun, Monte Whalen, Serine Whalen, Sueann Whalen, Tyson Whalen, Anthony Whalen and Jack Whalen; his siblings, Jeff Whalen, Monte Whalen, Bruce Whalen and Henny Whalen; his grandchildren, Serene Blue Storm Lara, Justice O. Whalen, Joseph Whalen, Jayden Whalen, Raygan R. Whalen, Dason D. Whalen, Elaina Bettelyoun, Xavier Hernandez, Braxton Whalen, Tyrine Whalen, Evelyn Whalen, Valerie Whalen, Theodore William Guzman, Jr., Kaedyn Lynn Jay Whalen and Ronald Rowdy Krupka; and his great grandchildren, Maquel Anchondo, Donovan Anchondo, Adrian Anchondo, Gabriel Lara, William Lara and Mayabelle Lara. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
