She is survived by: her children, Mary Janis-Gibson, Lisa Flying Hawk, Reva Bauer-Janis and Jesse Janis; her half-sisters, Bernadette and Josephine Freeman; her aunt Mary Merrival (Janis); and her granddaughter Jessica Janis. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and friends.
