He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Tobin (Darwin) and Eileen Tobin; his grandparents, Bert, Lillian Tobin of Ethan, Peter and Darlene Thompson of Storla; his granddaughter Shandra Tobin; and his brother-in-law Joe Staller of Plankinton.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Fetters-Palmer of Plankinton; his children, Sheldon Tobin (Carrie) of Plankinton, Cory Tobin (Shannon) of Plankinton and Stacy Giblin (Scott) of Mitchell; his stepchildren, Darris Palmer (Marri) of Chicago, Illinois and Melanie Keizer (Lance) of Stickney; and his siblings, Sherry Staller of Plankinton, Perry Tobin of Wessington Springs and Rick Tobin (Debbie) of Woonsocket. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren.
