Duane Dale Olson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane Dale Olson of Platte, South Dakota, who passed away on November 10, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helmer Olson and Rekie Olson (VanDriesen); and his siblings, Marlow Olson, Shirley and Earl Schoenfelder.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Nona Kay Butt; his wife Nona; his children, Noretta Olson of Mitchell, Dale, Sara Olson, Angela and Trent Strand of Platte; and his grandchildren, Lane Olson, Molly, Chris Olson and Aspen Strand.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mount-Smith Funeral Home (520 Main St, Platte, SD 57369).
