He is survived by: his daughter Erynn Meyerink; his granddaughters, Brynn, Dani and Eve Meyerink; his siblings, Darla Dertien (Mike) and Darrell Vanderheiden (Julia); his nephew Thomey Dertien (Destiny); his great-niece Polly; his nephew Brooklyn Dertien; his nephew Levi Dertien; Bentley.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mount Smith Funeral Home (520 Main St, Platte, SD 57369).
