Vivian Hampton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vivian Hampton of Platte, South Dakota, born in Parkston, South Dakota, who passed away on September 9, 2023 at the age of 101. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vivian Hampton to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Soren P Sorensen and Emma H Sorensen (Block); her husband Floyd; her son Wayne; her parents-in-law, H. C. and Lilly Hampton; and her siblings, Vernon Sorensen and Garnett Zila.

She is survived by : her daughters, Janet League (Vernon) of Platte, SD, Dianne Backes (Dwayne) of Brookings, SD and Sharon Holter (David) of Platte, SD; her sister Marilyn Christensen of Arlington, TX; and her sister-in-law Ardith Larsen. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
