He was predeceased by : his parents, Abe W. Ovitt, Sr. and Anna Ovitt (Scoville); his wife Catherine Jackson of Wood, SD; his children, DiAnn and Jackson; his granddaughter Lisa Kepaa Lehman; and his great grandchild Alyssa Brown.

He is survived by : his children, Roger Ovitt (Margaret) and Laurie Hawkins; his daughter-in-law Sandy Ovitt; his grandchildren, Cathee McCune (Steve), Valerie King (Vince), Nicole Ward (Chris), Adrienne Brown (Jason), Matthew Walters (Tonya), Melissa Nelson (Robert), Rashelle Morrison (Jon), Chris Hawkins (Jen), Anna Hawkins, Amanda Ruiz, Dawn Miller (Keneen), Ben Ovitt, Denise Tritto (Aaron), Lisa Lehman, Angela Leland, Erik Kalvels (Julie) and Patrick Kalvels (Dixie); his siblings, John Ovitt (Margaret), James Ovitt (Sandy), Roger Ovitt (Sue), Larry Allen, Kathy Allen (Dan), Jackie Howe (Cliff) and Benny; and his great great grandchild Frayah Williams. He is also survived by 40 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild.
