He is survived by: his siblings, Warren, Walter, Morton, Harvey and Lorna; his children, Kim (Thom Norby), Kristin Nies of Spearfish, SD, Jill Erickson of Rapid City, SD and Jay (Ellen Erickson); and his great grandchildren, Elijah Nies, Adelaide Nies, Timothy Nies, Benjamin Nies and Dakota Nies. He is also survived by four grandsons.
